Get to know me!
Hi, I’m Julie (she/her) and I’m here if you want to talk!
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, currently licensed in California, Virginia, Oregon, Maine, and Florida. At the heart of my work is one core belief: healing happens in relationship. Before we dive into goals, tools, or strategies, I focus on building a connection where you feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely understood.
Therapy with me is collaborative, relational, and human. I show up as myself, warm, engaged, and curious, and I invite you to do the same. Whether we’re sitting with something heavy or finding humor in the beautifully awkward parts of being human, our relationship becomes the foundation for growth.
I am an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming therapist. Creating and holding safe, inclusive spaces isn’t just something I value professionally; it’s part of who I am. I am committed to social justice and advocacy, and I honor the ways systemic, cultural, racial, gender, identity, and ability-based experiences shape our lives and relationships. You deserve a space where all parts of you are welcome.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m an adjunct professor at Pacific Oaks College in their Marriage and Family Therapy Program, where I support and mentor future therapists. I’ve had the privilege of providing workshops for The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach and Pacific Clinics, focusing on the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, work that is deeply meaningful to me. I’ve also been interviewed by Verywell Family on supporting children experiencing anxiety around school attendance.
When I’m not in session or teaching, you can usually find me recharging with good coffee, meaningful conversation, and moments of laughter with people I love. I deeply believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating; it can feel like a steady, supportive relationship where insight, growth, and even a little lightness can coexist.
If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to connect. Please reach out to schedule a free consultation, and we can see if it feels like a good fit!
