Get to know me and how I work with clients

Hi, I’m Julie (she/her) and I’m here if you want to talk.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Credentialed School Counselor and I'm here if you want to talk. My emphasis in treatment is relationship building so my clients feel comfortable and safe sharing within the counseling session.

I'm an Anti-Racist, LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiversity ally and creating and holding safe spaces is important to me. Social justice and advocacy is an important part of who I am as a person and a provider.

When I'm not working with clients I also am an adjunct professor at Pacific Oaks College in their Marriage and Family Therapy Program. I've had the privilege to provide workshops for The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach and Pacific Clinics on the intersection of the LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent communities. And, I've been interviewed by Very Well Family on the topic of supporting children who have anxiety around going to school.

I’m here if you want to talk

Whether you're a parent looking for support for your child/teen going through a difficult time or you're a professional trying to balance work, friendships, romantic relationships, or maybe you’re looking for support for your intimate relationship or family, I am here for you.

I work with children, adolescents/teens and adults who may need a little extra support navigating social relationships, building self-esteem, navigating stress or mood changes, who may be having trouble balancing the demands of school, work, and/or relationships.

I tailor treatment to meet every individual client or families’ needs. When working with individuals, relationships and families I carefully consider culture, race, gender, age, development and life stage to guide and modify treatment and interventions as needed to make it inclusive of my clients’ needs.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Credentialed School Counselor and can provide mental health therapy services in California and Virginia.
